At first it was very different to use, a smooth fluid motion. But balance was found quickly and then the fun began. This is unlike walking or running, there is no impact and you get more or a back leg and butt workout. If you don’t like exercising, but must (and we all must…) this is the machine for you. If you don’t like the Gazelle then you might as well get back on the couch and forget about exercise all together. This I simple unfold very easily and get on it. Ive lost 20 lbs using this in 6 weeks! Another 20 to go!

The parts for the Schwinn 430 were labeled correctly, formed correcty and there were no missing or malformed pieces. My unit is virtually SILENT – no sqeaks, clicks or any other noises. I’m pretty close to the weight limit for the 430 model and was a little apprehensive about that, but the machine doesn’t feel at all wobbly – it feels quite sturdy/stable.
I did tons of research in consumer reports before I made the plunge in purchasing an elliptical, and all roads led back to this machine. The variety of programs, levels and speeds also makes the Schwinn 430 a great buy for the money.
I’m quite pleased with this unit and I really don’t see myself purchasing a more expensive higher end one in the near future, unless this one should go belly up-which I doubt, it is so heavy duty and very well made.

When it comes to elliptical trainers, you really need to try the various strides to see what is comfortable to you. Some are circular and some are truly elliptical in feel. It came with all the tools necessary to assemble. I thought this would take a while, but it didn’t take long at all. The LED text is clear and easy to read. You have manual mode and 16 programs but in your profile, you can create 2 customizable workouts one interval at a time.
This is such a quiet and smooth workout. The touch screen is really easy to use and the machine itself is comfortable, it doesn’t feel awkward to me at all. There are many different pre-made work outs, and you can create and save several custom work outs as well. The screen is big and easy to read and use, it has friendly prompts to “Use Your Arms” or “Reverse Stride”, and it even gives you a “Halfway There!” and “Last Big Climb” as you go. The built-in fan feels bigger than it is. It really is nicer than the machines most gyms.
The Schwinn 460 is a fantastic machine for under $1000.00. I am sure you could find one that does everything to include the dishes, but, you are going to pay much more for it.

I can only say that this Elliptical Trainer is the very best for its’ price range. In fact, it is better than many of the higher priced machines that are available. The Schwinn 431 is Near club quality. Easy assembly, good craftsmanship. It is Smooth and sturdy with a small space requirement for an elliptical.The machine itself is very sturdy and feels solid. One thing that stands out is how quiet the machine is. You can watch TV with the volume at a normal level while working out. Purchased this elliptical after researching alot of brands there are no other choices in this price range, this machine rocks!
